Three Stars: Dollard, White, Dalto

YAKIMA, Wash. — Here’s a quick look at how incoming and past Pippins are doing on the collegiate diamonds this spring.

TAYLOR DOLLARD (Fr., Cal Poly SLO) has been impressive for the Mustangs this spring. In 10 appearances — all out of the bullpen — he’s 1-0 with one save, striking out 21 in 20.1 innings. He struck out two and walked one in three innings of work against Dartmouth on March 24. He currently sports a 2.21 ERA.

Meanwhile, teammate BRADLEE BEESLEY (Pippins ’17) is hitting .293 (27 for 92) with 10 RBI and two home runs, and NICK DiCARLO (Pippins ’18) is hitting .250 (9 for 36) with three RBI and nine doubles in 20 games (including 14 starts).

CONNOR WHITE (Jr., Portland) has a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings this spring. The returning All-WCL right-hander has pitched in seven games, including one start, and is 0-1 with 10 walks and six strikeouts. In those innings, he’s allowed only three runs.

CHRIS DALTO (Sr., Central Washington, Pippins ’17) hit a grand slam on March 25 against St. Martin’s as the Wildcats went 3-1 in the weekend series. Dalto is hitting .259 (21 for 81) this season. His 20 RBI currently rank third for CWU.

JACE VAN DE BRAKE (RS Jr., Gonzaga, Pippins ’15-’16) is hitting .284 (21 for 74) in 22 games for the Zags, with one home run and 11 RBI. Teammate BRANSON TRUBE (Pippins ’15-’16) is hitting .337 (29 for 86) with four home runs and 16 RBI.
