Bio: Wood joins the Pippins on a short-term contract at the start of the season. The Sacramento native completed his junior season at Central Washington this past spring, his first with the Wildcats after transferring in from junior college. In 13 appearances, with one start, he posted a 5.18 ERA while striking out 44 batters over 33 innings. As a freshman, Wood competed for NAIA Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
