Les Schwab, Pippins Partner on “Tickets 4 Kids” – reaching and connecting in the Yakima Valley

Kids and baseball go together.

From the pure joy of watching a home run sail beyond the outfield wall, to the rush to eat the ice cream before it melts, its hard to watch a kid be at a ballpark and see the happiness that experience creates.

Les Schwab Tire Centers – a Pacific Northwest-based leader in tires, brakes, wheels, shocks, and alignment services – basically the company that keeps the Pacific Northwest moving on our beautiful roads – loves to see families and kids having fun. The company has a history of giving back to the Yakima Valley, having recently wrapped up a three-year agreement with the Pippins that generated more than $20,000 in donations to area non-profits through “Chuck-A-Ball”. The nature of the relationship between the tire leader and the team will continue on a platform of community service through the Tickets 4 Kids” presented by Les Schwab.

“Tickets 4 Kids” – launched by the Pippins in 2015 – allows companies to make financial contributions to the Pippins to purchase tickets to games, to donate to non-profits in the Yakima Valley that provide resources and services to under-served children. The Pippins match the financial contribution to double the volume of tickets that can be provided.

“We are proud to call Les Schwab partners,” says Pippins president Zachary Fraser. “The managers and employees believe in giving back to the communities where they live and work – and that aligns perfectly with our team culture.

“Our Tickets 4 Kids program is a great fit – the Yakima Valley Pippins are excited to partner with our friends at Les Schwab to make this possible for the upcoming season.”
