‘Best Available’ Season Ticket Gives Fans New Seating Option

YAKIMA, Wash. — A day after announcing their 2019 WCL schedule, the Yakima Valley Pippins are serving up a new season ticket option for fans: the ‘Best Available’ ticket.

This new season ticket provides entry into all 32 Pippins home games in 2019, but doesn’t come with a specific seat. Instead, fans will be able to choose their seat from what is available a week before the game date.

It will give the fan the most flexibility for the price, general manager Jeff Garretson said.

“The upside is that a fan can pick the best seats — from the Dugout Bar at field level right next to first base, to reserved seats behind home plate, to any other section, based on preference,” Garretson said. “And you can’t beat the price for that wide range of seat flexibility.”

The “Best Available” season ticket costs $312, which averages to just $9.75 per game, well below the average $12 price for a Stadium Select reserved seat.

But there is a catch: To get the best seat available, fans must be proactive and reserve that seat no earlier than seven days ahead of time. Fans can also select their seats at the box office on game night, but choice is limited to what’s available at that time.

Like all season tickets, the “Best Available” ticket comes with Ticket Exchange, which allows the buyer to exchange the ticket for a missed game for a new ticket for another game, Garretson said. Ticket Exchange is a perk for season ticket holders only.

The “Best Available” season ticket, and all other season ticket and mini-plan options, are on sale now at the Pippins downtown office, 12 S. Second St. in the historic Larson Building, by calling 509-575-4487, or at the team’s holiday kiosk in the Valley Mall in Union Gap starting Nov. 17.
