Travel into Yakima

The Yakima Air Terminal at McAllister Field is located about 10 minutes from Yakima County Stadium, but has currently only one flight in and out of Yakima to Seattle per day.

The Tri-Cities Airport (in Pasco) is a 60-minute drive and has daily service to and from Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix/Mesa, Denver, San Francisco, and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

From Seattle

(about 2 1/2 hours)

  • Take Interstate 90 East out of Seattle.
  • Just past Ellensburg, bear right and follow signs for Interstate 82 East/U.S. 97 South.
  • Take Exit 33B off of I-82 E (Nob Hill Boulevard exit), turn right at the light and continue west along Nob Hill to Fair Avenue.
  • Turn right at Fair Avenue to Pacific Avenue.
  • Turn right onto Fair Avenue, the Gate 15 entrance to State Fair Park will be on your right.

From Portland

(about 3 hours) to Yakima County Stadium

  • Travel east on Interstate 84 out of Portland.
  • At Biggs Junction, Ore., take Exit 104 north across the Columbia River on U.S. 97.
  • Continue through the Yakama Nation Reservation to Toppenish, turn left at the intersection of U.S. 97 and Highway 22.
  • Use the left lane to merge onto Interstate 82 west via the ramp to Yakima.
  • Take the Nob Hill Boulevard exit, turn left at the light and continue west along Nob Hill Boulevard to Fair Avenue.
  • Turn right at Fair Avenue to Pacific Avenue.
  • Turn right onto Fair Avenue, the Gate 15 entrance to State Fair Park will be on your right.

From Spokane

(about 3 1/2 hours)

  • Take 90 West/395 South out of Spokane.
  • Just east of Ellensburg, take the Yakima exit to 82 East/97 South.
  • Take Exit 33B off of I-82 E (Nob Hill Boulevard exit), turn right at the light and continue west along Nob Hill to Fair Avenue.
  • Turn right at Fair Avenue to Pacific Avenue.

Passports

The West Coast League is an international league. It encompasses the entire Pacific Northwest, including the stunning beauty of British Columbia and Alberta provinces in Canada. As such, your son will need a valid passport for travel purposes (you may need one as well, if you wish to travel to Nanaimo, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops or Edmonton to watch the club play). For players, If you do not already have the proper documentation, you would be wise to begin securing that now. It takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks to get that paperwork done properly, and as winter progresses to spring, those times usually get longer (as people look to travel). Please call our office if you have any questions – if your son does not have his passport, he will not be able to join us on our road trips to Canada, and since we have a talented roster, we want to make sure every member of the team is there and able to contribute.
